Notes of Elegance
Rachel Buchman - Harpist & Harp Teacher

About
Harp music has the ability to refresh the soul and inspire the mind, and I enjoy sharing that ability with people. When I was around seven years old, I fell in love with the harp while attending a symphony. I pleaded with my parents to allow me to take lessons. I was even willing to give up my enormous $5/month allowance to do so. Eventually, they acceded, and I was allowed to take lessons. Trained in the Salzedo method, I played with harp ensembles, youth symphonies, school choirs, and more. Now, I play for my own enjoyment as well as for weddings, parties, church services, et cetera, but I also love sharing the harp with students of all ages. The harp is a remarkable, elegant instrument that sounds beautiful from the moment one sits down with it. I absolutely love it, and I know you will too.
